These 7 mm green underlay boards are specially designed to serve as the perfect base for foil underfloor heating. The durable softboard material smooths out minor uneven spots and creates a stable, level surface for placing the heating foil directly. Thanks to their insulating properties, the boards efficiently guide heat upwards, providing a comfortable and energy-efficient flooring solution. The 7 mm thickness also delivers noticeable sound reduction, making it ideal for homes and apartments.

If your subfloor has minor irregularities, this underlay is highly suitable for laminate and parquet flooring. The boards can correct unevenness up to 3 millimetres, ensuring a flat and stable final result. Please note that softboard felt panels are not moisture-resistant; if the floor is installed in a damp area, be sure to place a moisture barrier (damp foil) underneath the underlay.
The suitable heating foil is laid on the green underlay. The required layers above it depend on the floor finish and the heating and flooring manufacturers’ instructions. Flexible floor finishes may require a suitable heat-transmitting protective or intermediate layer. Do not assume carpet, vinyl or click PVC can go directly on the foil. Do not glue PVC directly onto our standard heating foil.
