Some companies start out with an extensive business plan. For us, it began very differently. It began with the renovation of our own home.

From the children's room to the shed
In the beginning there was no large warehouse at all. I started on my own and bought underfloor heating on a small scale. The first stock simply sat in the cupboard in the children's room. It soon became clear that we were onto something.
Sales grew and the children's room became too small. The stock then spread into our house. When that was no longer enough either, the shed was filled with rolls and boxes. And even that eventually fell short. My parents' shed was brought into service as well.
Looking back we can laugh about it, of course, but that is exactly where the foundation was laid for the company we have today. Step by step the stock grew, the number of customers grew, and our enthusiasm grew right along with it. Until we finally made the move to our first large warehouse. From a few rolls in the children's room to a warehouse full of underfloor heating. That is a journey we are still proud of.
First selling, then really understanding
In the early years we bought underfloor heating and resold it. The margins were small. Sometimes we earned no more than a few cents per set. But for us that was not the most important thing. Above all, we wanted to help people get good underfloor heating at a price that was genuinely affordable. And as we sold more and more, we also received more and more questions from customers. That led us to dig deeper and deeper into the product itself.
